Anytime we make the shank longer you lose lateral, signal, but sometimes leverage is more important than lateral. This mouthpiece is a 1 2" oval bar that rotates down to a 3 8" bar. Has a shorter transition between the port and the bar which allows for less tongue relief, but has more pressure on the edge of their tongue. It is not tall enough too
